When I sweat due to hot weather or exertion there is no odour unless I don't wash for a few hours.

If I sweat because I am unwell it immediately smells sour and very unpleasant. I'm curious as to why this is, and is this the same for everyone?

Probably something you eat more of in hot weather.
Sorry barry, I cannot answer your question.
I always thought that physiological sweat was exactly the same as sweat due to a fever as far as content and smell were concerned.

Thanks, both. My wife says it's the badness coming out :D

That's interesting, Corby. I saw a TV interview of a lady that can smell Parkinson's. Fascinating
It's likely the woman in my second link.

When tested with odours, she identified someone who didn't have Parkinson's as having it but eight month later, that person was tested and shown to have it.

Yes, that was she. Everyone can smell my particular odour when I have a temperature, I've been the same all my adult life.
Thankfully I don't have that strange condition that makes a person constantly smell of rotting fish
I think you need to feast on surströmming to have that.
