Before my wife had her hysterectomy she had very heavy and painful periods.
During one of the many tests she had to determine the cause, the specialist noticed the deep, ulcer type sores on her thighs and asked her if she had them on her breasts, too. She confirmed that she did but hadn't sought advice or treatment for them. The specialist wrote to her GP and he prescribed tablets which cleared up the problem.
He told her what it was and that it was caused by hormones. We can't remember what it was called but she now needs to know. Can anyone help? It was definitely a Latin name.
Not ringing any bells, LadyC, and a quick google shows neither are similar to the very deep sores my wife had. They were on her outside thighs and upper breasts.
LadyC, we can't even remember if it was one word or two. A friend of my wife has very similar so we are trying to think what it is called so she can tell her GP.
I wonder why your app is not showing acute medicines. I did give permission for my GP to share everything as it is quicker whenever I have had to attend hospital for the doctors to know all about me . All vaccinations and repeat prescriptions also listed
Another suggestion - if your wife is still with the same gp surgery, the information needed will be in her notes and perhaps if you wrote to the gp or, if not the same one, whoever is her gp now, and asked for the name of the medication.
