Peter Pedant - my MiL is in there. Nurses on her 'ward' (a pokey side room with about 6 beds) are sullen, disengaged and devil-may-care! To be fair to them - so would I be if I had to do their work and get underpaid for it - and be expected to be grateful the 'public' only appreciate my efforts by giving me the clap!
MiL cannot get out of bed. No one answers the alarm thing she presses. She was calling out for help to go to toilet. One nurse asked her across the room so all other patients could hear - 'Do you want to do a number 1 or a number 2'? When Mil replied a number 1, same nurse called across - "fancy wanting to go for a pee during breakfast. I'll come and change your nappy when everyone has finished their breakfast." Either we get a personal apology from CEO or, when I get the name of said offending nurse, I am amazingly good at finding people's home addresses, so she may want to make amends rather pronto.
I've promised my wife if I ever need to go into a hospital I will kill myself first.
