At the moment I'm struggling to get a job still living at home and single or not enough of a social life I'm constantly feeling down

Barsel, are you keeping notes on abbeys queries and how many times she's responded? Plenty of others on here do not respond immediately and sometimes not at all...even regular posters like you and I. Maybe so much advice is a lot to take in. I too hope Abbey comes back...with more questions if necessary. Abbey is not here in disguise. Ab Editor did say she'd...

Zacs - No, Mods cannot reinstate posts or threads, only the Ed Team can do that.
Similarly, we cannot see deleted posts once they are removed, I saw the post earlier, and while I thought it flippant and insensitive, my role is not to remove it because it does not contravene Site Rules.
Even if I could reinstate it, I would not, overruling another Mod's decision is again abuse of privilege.

Abbey, without giving you specific advice let me just say that you get out of life what you put into it. The more you reap, the more you sow. If you don't put any effort into anything then there will be no rewards to enjoy.
I'm damn sure you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to. I don't think you lack confidence, I think you lack motivation.
The only thing standing between what you and what you want is you.

Ellie - So did I, bur it doesn't break Site Rules, the Mod decided it was unsuitable, and our personal views should not effect editing decisions.
Lord knows we get enough grief as it is, without doing exactly what our critics accuse us of!

andy-hughes, I deleted the (now) two posts.
If someone is seeking advice such as in this instance, posting pathetic so-called jokey comments is not helpful and hardly encourages someone to ask for similar help and support in the future, does it?
You are entitled to your opinion but I stand by my decision and will not be commenting further.

Zacs - I thought that. But since the Mod concerned can read my post without identifying themselves, unless they choose to do so, it does no harm for me to use my rights as an AB'er to give my opinion, as anyone else can if they wish.
I have contacted the Editorial Team as well to look into this situation.

Raving Mod - we have cross posted.
I stand by my view, as you do yours, but I believe your high-handed intervention undermines your fellow Moderators who work under constant criticism of exactly this sort of behaviour.
We will see what the Editorial Team decide on Monday.
And I will absolutely be commenting further!!

Abbey, you now have some advice which you can act on. It's a shame that a mild dispute has spoiled your thread this time. Also I notice you posted in the early hours when what you needed was some sleep. Situations always seem worse when you are awake in the dark, and don't seem half as bad in the daylight
