I am going to a posh charity ball and am wearing a very pretty long black strapless dress. Can people advise on the deodrant issue as I want to avoid white marks and also unsightly wet bits later on in the night. TQ

Hi Claieybear.
One roll on deoderant I use when going somewhere special in a black dress is made by Vichy. It's non scented . I wait until it's completely dry before putting the dress on and it does keep dry. I read a tip in a magazine that said if youo do get white marks to use a facial wipe or make up remover wipe but I have not tried this.
Good luck and hope you enjoy the ball.
My friend's daughter works in Selfridges and she says they use baby wipes to remove deodorant marks from their ballgowns after people have tried them on.
i use Mitchum roll on, no black marks, dries quickly and is a VERY effective deoderant, a little more expensive than most but wirth it, and the powder fresh scent is lovely. its available in boots, superdrug, all the usual!

Thanks all, Boobesque can I just ask wether the Mitchum is a cream roll on or a clear type one??

its a roll on...I use it too and its great, it comes in a green bottley thing and says on it that its supposed to be good for 48 hrs!! Not that I have ever tested it for that period but it just means it's good : )
