Hello.

A while ago I was diagnosed with Mumps by the doctor, I was given antibiotics and it cleared up. I also have asthma so was given the flu jab. Anyway, I feel like I have the mumps again, is this possible to get the mumps twice? Don't know, it might just be swollen glands? Feeling crappy though, runny nose, sore throat and my neck is sore just to turn. Any ideas??

Itsounds like swollen glands..your immune system is probably low..have you ever tried taking echinacea as thats great in building your system up..for a fast result get the echinacea tincture and take it a few drops in some warm water..also start the tablets..a good multivitamin with iron and plenty of vitamin c..

Sounds good to me, where would i buy it? Really need a cure!
It is possible to get mumps twice - as with any non-fatal disease. Immunity given by having it is never 100%.

The last time I had swollen glands and thought I had the Mumps again, it turned out to be Glandular Fever. Glandular fever symptoms do come back to haunt me from time to time - but I'm not sure about the Mumps.

Or you might simply have a nasty head cold.

If you're really feeling lousy, its best to see your GP or call NHS Direct..

I had mumps back in April and at my age, fifty plus ,it was most unpleasant. I suffered from after effects for ages.In fact I still have a slightly numb ear. I had a bad cold about a month ago and the glands in my neck swelled. My doctor said it takes a long time for the wretched mumps virus to leave your body.

Dzug you have really cheered me up by saying you can get mumps again....I do not want to go through that again ..ever !!
