Should I Get A Tattoo?

so, I really want to get a tattoo on my arm. I have wanted one for.. well, many years- it will be my first

 

my big question is, how much does it hurt?. I don't feel I handle pain well, and I definitely don't like needles (I was the girl at school always avoiding the flu jab)

 

that aside, I think I'm reasonably still, and also reasonably patient, so wouldn't have any trouble sittting there I don't think

 

thoughts?. perhaps those who have had them can share your experiences?

Barry, not many, if any, people see the inside of my pointy finger..can't think of anyone actually...so I doubt that would be an issue, can't see 'everyone' asking about it.

Emily it's your choice.  Only do it if you really really want one.

Khandro seems to be the only one who's answered the question about pain, though his tattoo is not in the same place. But there aren't as many young people on AB as there used to be, so not as much advice on offer. If I were a lot younger myself, I'd think about it too.

I had a conversation with my barber today about tattoos - he has most of his visible body, apart from his face, tattooed.

He asked me, if it was a 'gun to my head' scenario, what would I have, and where?

I opted for a Rolling Stones emblem on my left bicep - might as well nail my colours.
