At night a good cream like Neutragena with cotton sox to protect the bed linen

File and smother in Vaseline then wrap in clingy film and a pair of socks leave overnight then wash pat dry and moisturises

...soak your feet first in Epsom salt solution.

Question Author

I had a feeling it would involve wrapping and socks.

My feet get terribly hot and uncomfortable, I ditched socks about two weeks ago, and there's no way I could bear to have my feet wrapped up in bed, I have them hanging out, bare, as it is, summer or winter.

I wonder if a visit to a fancy foot person (whatever they're called) might be on the cards. I've never been to one.

Thanks anyway.

What does that do Tilly? (How are your teef doing?)

Flexitol, I won't use anything else

Chiropodist would help. They have good foot scrubbers. You need to get all the dead dry skin off.

Give yourself two hours. You could try a foot bath soak with Epsom salts. Then gentle soft scrub with almond oil followed by cream and cover and relax with feet up for an hour or so. Good cotton sox with no wool or nylon etc are more comfortable

I had the same and went to a podiatrist, now I can manage it myself with a half decent foot file and some soothing foot cream.

no socks or soaking involved!

Budget about £35-£40 for a visit to a local podiatrist or if you prefer like hairdressers, some are mobile and will come to you.

Its pleasant and worth it. Afterwards you simply file your feet once a week after a shower and use some regular four cream to keep them soft.

Do it before you get your sandals out, you won't regret it.

Vagus, my teef are still minus one front one.😞

Aldi Cracked Heel Cream, about £3 and soothes right  away.

sorry ozzy not been more helpful ,i've only been up a while and had 1 coffee xx

Question Author

Thank you for all your helpful answers.

I dug out my foot file and Boots cracked heel cream and have had a go with those. Heels are looking a bit better already, I guess it's just a matter of persevering, or biting the bullet and book someone to knock them into shape and then keep on top of them.

Thanks all once again, very helpful x
