I am a 77 year old male, have been living with Post Polio for the last 35 Years. l
I have just been Informed that some x-rays have shown that I have also now got Arthritis of the hips.
Just after some information on how the 2 get along, in other words how much more deblitation will there be in my mobility
Thanks in advance Frank
This is a highly specialised subject which is best discussed with your GP, or better still a consultant.
If PPS has weakened your muscles and altered your gait and stance that could exacerbate arthritis in your hips and knee joints. I was told around ten years ago that I have arthritis in my left hip which was a surprise as I wasn't in any pain nor was my mobility impaired in any way. Nothing has changed since. I don't have PPS but I do have a slight deformity in my legs which affects my gait so maybe that is to blame.
If you are worrying about it, talk to a professional. Good luck
