phantom limbs (one in particular)

i am aware that sometimes when a person loses a limb there are cases when they experience pain or feeling the limb (itching usually) even thought the offending appendige is clearly not there.

This got me thinking about the penis. If a man were to lose his member (in an unfortuante accident or otherwise) would/could phantom pains/feelings or possibly phantom erections occur.

Just wondering :)

i don't see why not. the body still 'remembers' this 'limb' and as a man you would still have erotic thoughts that the brain will attempt to 'use' so why not...

I am sure there are people out there who this has happened to.

for the love of god! Good question though. As far as I know the "schlong" is a not a limb. unless you are extremely gifted!
