Paracetamol
I find my doctor and anywhere I go there aplenty of paracetamol. I would not take them as they do not help any illnesses/aches or pain.
Does anybody else feel the same. They are hopeless so I don't know why they even make/produce them.

Here we are given the box that comes from the company. The pharmacist writes the directions on the box. All pharmacies have a drop off box to return unused pills. Most prescriptions are sent to our phones by message from the doctor with a code that is shown to the pharmacist to input to their computer.
It's pretty much the same here calmck, as jno says.
I can't remember the last time I held a paper prescription, everything is done electronically now.
my repeat prescription list is on my phone on the NHS app, I just tick what I need, press send and off it goes. I then go to the pharmacy a couple of days later to pick the meds up, all in their manufacturers boxes with a label stuck on printed by the pharmacy giving the dose, etc.
If you see the GP face to face or have a phone consultation, and need some different meds, GP sends a prescription for them electronically to the pharmacy where you pick them up.
All quite modern really 😁😉
For many people they are a very effective painkiller, they also and sometimes far more usefully bring down a high temperature and can to a lesser extent reduce inflammation over extended use. Just because they are cheap as chips don't discount them. They are also one of the only painkillers that don't trigger the addiction centre although if you take them too long you can get a really bad headache if you stop suddenly.
my prescriptions are sent to the chemist, not me
one of the successes ( the only success) of computerisation. My GP held paper records in the expected case that the digitization would be a DISASTER - and it wasnt - it worked from the get go.... ( paper record back up abandoned after...7 d!).
Full does paracet has the same action as 5-10 morphine - I cant remember the ref but no one reads my posts anyway
Barry if your wife takes that much, you should be able to get a prescription - to do list: must see GP.
