Remedies for pregnancy sickness?
When pregnant with my first child, I hit six weeks, was sick every morning and then once I'd been sick I felt fine. This happened for two weeks and that was that. I could deal with that.
This time round, second time pregnancy, from five weeks I have felt nauseous from the minute I get up until the minute I go to bed, yet haven't actually been physically sick.
I don't like ginger biscuits or ginger 'tea' but have been taking ginger tablets recommended by a friend who took them when she was pregnant, and they worked for her. They're not working for me.
Anyone got any remedies for combatting pregnancy sickness gratefully received.

I have heard several people raving about them with regards to how effective they are for combating nausea & sickness.
Not sure how you would get hold of them, but worth searching on the web maybe.

Hi Otrere. You have my full sympathy as I remember my bouts of morning sickness only too well. I suffered with severe morning sickness for the whole duration of my pregnancy in the three times I was pregnant. This is of course very uncommon as it usually wears of around the end of the first trimester but I was just unlucky. I tried everything from ginger biscuits to dry toast eaten slowly before I got up from bed but found nothing was helpful until a friend suggested that I tried Seaband acupressure bands which are normally used for travel sickness but have now been attributed with relieving symptoms of morning sickness.(You have to laugh at the name eh ? More like morning noon and night sickness !) It didn't make me feel great all the time but personally I found that it did significantly reduce the feeling of nausea and provided some relief. Your diet could also play a part in your feeling of nausea. Instead of eating set meals , try to eat less more often. Eat when you are hungry , as often nausea is a result of not eating enough. I also found that peppermint helped me a bit. Try sucking on some mints but in my case , I found that extra strong mints had the opposite effect and increased my feeling of nausea. Stress and not getting enough sleep can also worsen the effects of morning sickness so try to ensure that you are eating enough , drinking plenty of clear fluids and getting a good night's sleep.
