Go on ebay and search for "lazer eye" Optimax and Ultralase often auction off cancelled spaces like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Laser-Eye-Surgery-treatment-795-Bo th-Eyes-NO-EXTRAS_W0QQitemZ5654743835QQcategoryZ31415QQr dZ1QQcmdZViewItem
One thing! Friend of mine had it done over a year ago and is still having problems with it now!! Infections and lots of pain, be warned, its not always successful!
I went to see my GP to ask him to recommend a laser eye clinic and his advice was to NOT go to one. He said that no one knows the long term effects of laser eye treatment. However, he told me about a treatment called PRK (radial keratotomy) which has been available FREE on the NHS for about forty years. It's the same as laser treatment in that the eye is sliced, but a fine diamond tipped scalpel is used instead of a laser. I had both eyes done 5 years ago and have had no probs. I qualified because I was very short sighted. It might sound like a gruesome procedure but it's done under local anaesthetic and takes seconds. If you ask your GP about it, you have nothing to lose.
