Can anyone recommended companies who offer eye laser treatment, preferably in Scotland. I am interested in having this surgery but looking for the best value for money.

Not to put you off, but make sure you read up fully on the procedure, don't skimp on consultations, check out the surgeon's history, talk to others who have had it done, and read all the small print - signing the form for the operation excuses the surgeon from all liability if the op goes wrong and you are blinded.
**Apologies in advance if you've already researched all this!**
I think Jomii's answer is worth at least three stars. It's only a matter of days ago that the news was filled with reports on failed laser eye-treatments. Sure, there's only a small chance that things'll go wrong, which makes success a "33 to 1 on" bet in horse-racing terms...ie a virtual certainty. However, whilst you might be prepared to risk a fiver at the bookie's on such a deal, do you think it wise to risk your eyesight on it? Just think of the number of opticians who wear glasses! If lasering were that good, don't you think they'd all have it done?
I would just like to add my concerns to those already raised. In my opinion, you cannot afford to look for the 'best deal' when considering surgery. Buy the best you can afford, if not better. Good luck if you decide to go ahead. Like so many things, I think this could have come to the market too early, pushed by the businesses concerned.
My optician is one who has ALL the latest gadgets etc and did some serious research into all the popular methods of laser surgery as I amongst others had been asking for it. But in his words "What part of the body will stand up to impact when 25% of it is removed, so why should the cornea.." He says he'd never let his wife or children do it, so I'm more than happy to continue with contact lenses and glasses.
