Regurgitation?
12 Answers
Does anyone do this a lot? I have suffered with most for a long long time. I eat meals and I regurgitate it, pretty soon after so it pretty much tastes like food. Any ideas what might be causing it??

I'd go to my GP and request and endoscopy in order to look at the oesophagus to make sure there is no kind of obstruction. Also not such a nice thought, but severe constipation can cause regurgitating symptoms.
no, no constipation, its not something I do willingly. I did go through phases of bullimia fomr about the age if 11 - 17 and thought maybe I had a stomach problem left from that or maybe just an allergy but I cant figure out what its from. I dont do it after a plate of just veg or fruit. Its why I have been not very eager to go to doctors as I dont want them to think that I am doing it deliberately.
hi, i don't want to alarm you but i would encourage you to go your GP. we thought my sister was anorexic/bulimic, and whilst she did suffer truly with these syndromes during her life, she ultimately died of malnutrition because the valve at the top of her stomach was not letting food in properly, hence the regurges. we were told her condition was totally treatable, so please do get yourself checked out. good luck.
Pharyngeal pouch, maybe?

It's uncommon and the risk factors stated probably don't apply to you but, as with so many conditions, it's not impossible that people who don't fall within those risk factors could be affected.
If it's troubling you greatly, then a trip to your GP would be the best idea and at least you'll get a proper diagnosis as opposed to possibilites!! :-)
