Corset Top

Does anyone know how to straighten the bones in a corset top? I think they have bent beacuse of the way it was hanging in the wardrobe and now it looks like i have massive ribs! Please help it cost me fifty quid!

Can you not replace them?

Im not sure. Do you know where i would get replacements? Im not sure if i would want to try as it might ruin the stitching?

Well you should be able to buy new ones (they're only nylon) at local haberdashers, inside the bodice make a small slit at the bottom of the bone seam and take out the old ones and put in the new, then stitch up the small slit. It should be Ok.

You could take it to a dress maker, they will know how to replace the bones without damaging the top
