After she is 20 if she is sexually active and then every 3 years.

And there's nothing to be ashamed or afraid of. I'd rather have a smear than undiagnosed cancer. Isn't that right girls?

I'm 23 and went to the practice nurse recently to have this done only to be told that the rules have changed and they check routinely in women over 25, therefore she wouldnt do me! It's because our bodies are still developing hormonally and the results can appear abnormal and cause unnecessary worrying according to her!

yep i too was told you have to be over 25 now and then you get called every few years
