rubbing a small amount of coconut oil into the hair before you start swimming and then shampoo normaly after works for me
What about wearing a swimming cap?

There is a designer shampoo made specifically for swimmers and sun worshippers. Its made by Lanza and is available at www.sbs-uk.net for 14.95.

If you're on a budget check this link out. it lists a number of swim shampoos tested by the Mirror. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sexandhealth/kids/tm_objectid=16628980&method=full&siteid=94762&headline=tried---tested-by-children---name_page.html

Believe it or not, tomato ketchup, or puree rubbed on the hair after swimming and before washing will take the green away. We use it regularly in Spain when using pools.
My youngest looks like the hair bear kid when she gets out of the pool..... Paul Mitchell no 3 is brill, buy it from Supercuts( a shopping centre hair cutting chain) if possible - loads cheaper than upmarket poncy salons!

swimming caps break your hair quite a lot plus I have no shame in saying that I am a bit vain!

ketchup? I don't have blonde hair now but it worked on the colour when I had highlights - that's a great tip!
