Is there an easy (cheap and painless) test for bone density? Getting a bit worried about osteoporosis.

As far as I know you need to contact your doctor to arrange a screening.

Froggequene's absolutely right - your GP can refer you for bone densitometry, which is absolutely painless, but only really worth it if you're at risk. If you're worried, though, I'd contact the National Osteoporosis Society. They're at http://www.nos.org.uk/ and offer a wealth of good up to date information on risk factors, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.
