Are there advertisements for a variety of medicines in the UK? Here in the states, it seems everyother commercial is for a new drug. Pharmacuetical companies control everything now.

We only have a small amount of adverts for non-prescription medication e.g cough mixture, pain killers etc.

The only ones I can think of is for pain relief (Headaches/muscualr pain) and cold/cough remedies/ We also get adverts for sleeping remedies but are for natural products only. We now also have legal adverts, think these started about a couple of years back but are for personal compensation claims after an accident type adverts and not for legal companies per se

Adverts for female sanitary products seem to be hitting an all time high at the moment............

We have advertisements for EVERYTHING. Its crazy....cold, cough, pain, asthma, alzheimers, irritable bowl syndrome, shaky leg syndrome, arthritis, sleeping, erectile dysfunction, genital warts, herpes, baldness, yeas infections (all feminine things), allergies, breast inhancement ect. Its incredible, and these are not commercials that appear once in a blue moon, they are on constantly.

We have not yet been bombarded with the stream of adverts that you guys have. I love the tone of the adverts too - who pays wins ..... soliciting you to tell the doctor what to prescribe. The sheer volume and interval of adverts irritates me too! No wonder attention deficit disorder prevails - a programme doesn't run for more that five minutes at a time. lol. I lived in the States for a while and can honestly say it drove me nuts!!
