What is the most romantic thing you've ever done for your mate?

I bought a Humidor (holds cigars) for my boyfriend of 5 years. It holds like 50 cigars, and I filled with about 20 Dominican cigars. And I brought it to the restaurant before hand, to talk with the manager of what I wanted to happen. We had reservations to eat there for Valentines day.

So at dinner later that night, the host came over after we ate, and offered my BF a cigar from it. "He looked at it was like wow this is nice! What kind do you have here?", I started giggling, and I said "Hunny just take the whole thing", he laughed and looked at the host "Yeah! Can I just take the whole thing." I said "No really hunny, its all yours. Happy Valentines Day." :) His eyes lit up like a little boy on christmas morning.

Travelled 1550 miles to surprise my then bf on his BD with an acoustic guitar, only to break up with him an hour later.

I should have kept the guitar.

i bought some james brown tickets for my boyfriend and surprised him ( we were really skint at the time ... we had just bought our first house together )... i saved the money out of selling my old clothes at the carboot sale without him knowing ....

When my husband was working away from home in Southern Ireland and staying in an hotel I arranged for a red rose to be given to him on the morning of Valentines Day. The restaurant was full of macho Irish males eating hearty breakfasts and the waiter banged a gong, marched through the restaurant and presented it to my husband on a silver salver. All the men hooted with laughter and my poor husband wanted to crawl under the table with embarrassment. I won't try that romantic gesture again !
