Saw leg

Hi...a friend of mine bumped her shin a few months ago and complains that it still hurts and can be painfull to walk on. She's been to the Dr's about it and they didn't even look at it and said bumps an take a wile to heel. There is still a visible mark on her leg where she bumped it. She's worried to go back to the Dr's as she has other health problems and thinks they might think she's just making it up!! Any ideas?

I once had a really sore foot, could barely walk on it, went to Casualty, had it x-rayed and they discovered I'd broken a little bone. It must have happened some months previously from the healing that had taken place but I'd put up with the pain because I didn't want to bother the doctors !!! Daft or what ?

When you say a 'mark' what kind of mark? A few months is a long time for any kind of tissue damage to be there. Its possible she has chipped the shin bone, or a hairline fracture which has healed badly and this could cause some pain. Tell her to be firmer with her GP, she should at the very least be examined and given some advice, and possibly some stronger painkillers.
