To be blunt, are you bleeding more than normal?

Question Author
no less, its actually kinda worrying.

Have you spoken to your Dr? I would phone NHS Direct. You shouldnt be sick with period pains sweetie.

You may just have a tummy bug too but its best to be safe than sorry.....

Is there any chance you could pregnant?

No not really but i gess its a thort. And if its a stomach bug which im not dismissing at all, it doesnt explain why im not bleeding as much.
Right, I first started having this a couple of years ago. I noticed that that pains were at their worst when I wasn't bleeding as much, sometimes it even happens mid-period, but mostly on the second day. I tried a lot of pills from the dr (ponstan / mefenamic acid, tranexamic acid) and the gave me high strength codine and paracetamol and told me to take them with ibuprofen. However, this last month it was worse than ever but it's been getting worse progressively with some months worse than others. After tanking myself up with the painkillers, I was still vomiting with the pain (apparantly when you reach a certain degree of pain you vomit automiatically according to one doctor I once saw at a drop in centre when I collapsed in the street). In short though, I had a lot of other symptoms and my new doctor thinks I have endometriosis and can't understand why I haven't been sent off to a specialist before now! So now I'm being sent to a specialist gynae unit. Look up endometriosis on the internet and see if you have any of the other symptoms just in case.

I don't think its that.... but im probably gunna go see my doctor coz this is stupid xxxx
My best friend has the same problem with her periods, it runs in her family. She is often in excrutiating agony aswell as being sick and this month in particular had to spend 3 days in bed. It interferes in her life to such extent and we often have to plan around it as we both know as soon as her period comes she'll be out of action for a few days. She has pleaded with her doctor for see a specialist and has an appointment with the hospital next week, hopefully they will find something, I really believe that in this day and age with medical advances there must be something to treat this, us girls shouldn't have to suffer!
