Number of answers

I posted a thread about edam cheese last night, I got 96 replies. Amazing' although a few were mine. Some people on AB ask serious and worrying questions, they obviously need answers more urgently than me with my cheesey wonderments, so my question is, how come these Qs hardly get answered (although I know many do)?

Did that make sense?

maybe people dont want to reply to serious or worrying stuff unless the have something that is really helpful to say. They may not wish to confuse or make matters worse.

I must admit 96 replies to a question about edam is impressive, Im away to investigate :)

I agree, I have often felt uncomfortable when viewing such Qs,usually I do not answer because what needs to be said has already been done so in the few replies before, but other times I feel like I dont want to get involved. :-( Ah well

I assume by serious, your talking about ones like the one just above this one, I do answer some, but only if I feel quallified to do so, there are some on this site who can empathise, and offer the right encouragement and advice, I tend to leave it to them.

As far as your Cheesy question is concerned, I read a few of the answers, and good as they were, just to many for me to get through.

Keep it up though, your a very welcome addition.

This just proves that there IS a need for a chatterbank. There are many people on here who just want to chat to their new friends about cheese/anything. But whilst those people are on your thread, they are not answeing any of the more "pressing" questions. This is why I wish we could just get body and soul back to normal, and open up the chatterbank again.

yea dan I amswered saying , you should eat the wax , it doesnt harm you .

Sometimes if I see somebody has got some good answers that I agree with.. then I dont bother leaving a new one... To me the Q has been answered. And sometimes the lighter Q's are better.. I come on QA for a wind down at the end of the day .. Most of the time I dont feel like reading and answering hard deep serious Q's.
