Well if the cold from sleeping in a tent, or activity has made it worse then that's not a sign of cancer, but you should definitely go and see a doctor about it, if only to put your mind at ease. They might well do some tests, like X rays on you to try and figure it out. There's lots of things that it could be and the vast majority of things like this are just mechanical and not serious. But you should go and see your doctor to put your mind at ease and hopefully they can give you something to make it less painful. Sorry I can't help more, but not being able to see you or do x rays or anything makes it difficult! Try not to worry and I hope you sort it out soon!
I've been suffering this for over a year now. It's only sore when lying on in at night though. Wakes me constantly. I've just had blood tests done for a whole gammut of things, including rhumatoid arthritis and lupus. All came back fine, which is a relief, but no real help. I suggest you ask doctor for a set of tests so they can rule out these things, and put your mind at rest about worst-case scenarios, which are very unlikely. I've also been refered for physio, and have been taking a course of anit-inflammitorys, which have reduced the symptoms. I'm a similar age to yourself.

It was slightly worse over the weekend but was playing up long before that,i know what my dr will say, without doing anything she'll just say'the body is getting old my dear'I'm not that old but thanx for your advice,dr hungry and dogfish,i'll make an appointment!!

It would be a terrible doctor who said that to you! It's his/her job to get to the bottom of things, not to dismiss you with a line like that! Don't you stop pestering them until you know what's going on. And a person in their 30s is really young in medical terms.

Good luck with it, and make sure you don't leave the doctor's surgery til you are happy that they're doing everything they can to help you!
