I have been emailing this guy who works with my auntie. She said he would be good for me and told him all about me and he was quite interested and he emailed me and now we are chatting. Its been a while since I've done the whole 'flirting' thing. I know that if you go on a date and a guy calls you, that you should wait a while until you call him back so you don't seem to keen but does that apply with emailing too? Should I leave a fair time gap before replying to him so I don't seem desperate? I have only just thought about this and until now I have just been replying when I noticed the email! Ahhhhh, its so confusing being single! xx

go for it e-mail him back straight away i would you only live once girl!! keep e-mailing him live a little whats the worse that could happen hey???
I never wait a while to respond to somebody if I like them, as I think it gives the impression that I'm not fussed with them! I'd much rather respond straight away, therefore letting them know that I'm keen. You can be keen but still be a cool chick.

Good answers girls. Thank god. I was worried I'd have to wait hours then.. Lol

What do the guys think though? If someone was replying straight away.. what would you think?

I'd agree with the others...reply straight away if you want to Ruby. You're letting him know you're keen, but it's not as if you're throwing yourself at him, just enjoying his mails and your flirty chats. Far better to be straighfroward than having an agenda and taking a certain time to reply etc. Far better to do as you are. Sounds like you're having fun.....do you know what he looks like? Is he a hottie?? Enjoy;o) xx
Men (I like to generalise) lose interest very quickly if it takes a while to get a response, whether phoning, texting or emailing.
Well if you like him there's nothing with replying quickly. If you want to flirt, you could maybe leave it a day or so & see if he texts / phones or sends another mail chasing you for a reply. Good luck

Hey Kick, I don't know what he looks like yet as we have only been chatting since Friday but I sent him a pic of me and he is replying still so thats a good sign. My auntie is very very fussy and she thinks he is gorgeous and she said all the girls in the office fancy him! He drives a sports car and earns alot aswell. He lives about 20 mins drive from me too. :o)

Octavius.. thats quite true actually.. good one.. :o)

I am 2 years younger than him. I prefer older men though.. I hope he isn't all immature. Lol.. if he is then you can have him. Lol ;o)
Question Author
I surely will indeed Kick. Next time he replies I will ask for one... (photo I mean)..;o) But he is at work and may not have one on his PC.. Hmm we shall see.

Ooooh... I'm all excited for you, Rubes!! Dating/flirting is great when you're single. :o)

Question Author
Thanks Champs. I am excited for me too.. Lol. Its been a while since I've done the whole 'single flirting' thing! Sure I still remember though. Lol
I'd agree with Octavius and peterd; from a male perspective, if someone didn't reply fairly quickly, I'd assume they weren't interested. This whole 'leave three days before replying' thing has always annoyed me. If you like someone, why feel the need to delay your reply?x

Very true Robbo and I have always been a 'wear your heart on your sleeve' kind of girl so I am gonna just do what feels right. :o)
