This is not as silly as it sounds because there are well documented reports of anorexics weighing in at under 30kg (5 stones) being disgusted with their fat bodies.
Because you feel fat it does not mean you are overweight. If you have tried many ways to lose weight but nothing works it could just be because nothing needs to. Get a health professional to assess your bodyweight before you go any further, and particularly do not try to "lose weight quickly" without professional advice.
Heres a tip for you though: throw out the weighing scales. If you stand on the scales daily or every other day, you will feel unmotivated. I havent weighed myself in 6 years! I know when I put on weight because my skirts feel a bit tighter!
teag1rl is right though. A good run twice a week will make you feel healthier and more inspired.
I have been eating wisely for nearly four months now and going out walking regularly. Today I put on my denim skirt size 18 and it fell off! Yippee!!!!!
My advice would be to get out there on these lovely summer evenings and walk. Better than any stuffy gym at this time of year. Better still if you go with a friend and have a good old chinwag. My friend and I used to meet regularly for coffee and a chat. We both needed to lose weight so we now do a three mile walk and a chat regularly. Makes walking really enjoyable.
hi sam!! i no how u feel!! i need to lose weight and have a kitchen full of supposedly low fat stuff but i also have crisps and biscuits for the kids lunches - aaaarrrgghhh!! i have no will power and am lacking in the get up and go to do anything about it! do aerobics with my mate in her lounge twice a week but i think that just about stops me putting on weight!! this weather makes me feel worse when u c 17yr olds wandering around with hardly anything on!! bet they don't look like that when they've had kids!! good luck anyway hun i hope u succeed xXx
Sorry to hear you are having a 'fat day'.
Tip: Go for a walk everyday if possible. Even if it's only 10 minutes (try for 20 to 30mins). If you are working - go for a walk in your lunch hour. After a month you will feel a difference. Try not to be impatient wanting a quick fix and you would be better off getting rid of all the 'low-fat' 'light' stuff and getting 'normal' food (even butter is better that all those spreads). You will probably find you start to eat less of these things because they will fill you up better.
Remember you are a beautiful person
Oh, veggibear, I do agree with you about the 'low fat' foods. Just eat less and eat more natural food. Wholemeal bread with just a little butter, loads of veg and fruit, fish, chicken and loads of water. You will feel satisfied and more healthy and you won't be hungry.
Don't deny yourself food and DON'T diet, as such (unless for medical reasons). Very, very few people who diet as such maintain their new weight and very many actually end up heavier than they were in the first place. Dieting can muck up your metabolism completely. Believe me, I know!!!
