I found it too bulky to shove in my pocket, so I gave it back. I've never actually used one now, so could definately live without one.
I could live without all of the creature comforts except food and water of course, but would miss the usual things that we take for granted, such as tv, pc etc
Pippa I have one but rarely use it. I pity people I see on buses and trains who even when they're not using theirs still clutch them, holding them in front of themselves almost reverentially as though just holding the damn thing is some kind of affirmation of existence. There's no doubt they have their uses. But I also feel irked by the amount of unnecessary conversational diarrhoea they've triggered.
Recently, I and all the other passengers on the top deck of a 281 bus going past Surbiton station heard a shrieking girl tell her partner she was pregnant during a mobile conversation. I wouldn't deny anyone their mobile, or wish to do away with them, but what a shame the technology has to act as some sort of tool to help braindead loudmouths flaunt their stupidity in front of everyone. Though, I suppose even without mobiles those people would always find ways of being morons.
