Bit of a random question, but how long would you personally leave it before you slept with a new partner for the first time? Just asking as a matter of interest really!!

zara do you not think that many first dates are the result of perhaps an initial period of contact based on friendship and a working/social relationship? In which case, a couple will have had the opportunity to learn something of each other and made judgements and informed decisions on that person?

Absolutely when it feels right. I went out with someone for 8 months and never slept with them. I am so glad I didn't! But as you get older and less worried about sex/your body etc, I think you realise you may as well just have sex if it feels right. I think now I would be more inclined to just do it.

It's nice to hold out for a while cause the anticipation of sex is good. I love that permanently wandering about what it would be like bit of a relationship. Its hard to give an actual time, cause I dont know how often you are seeing each other. Apparently the average is 10 dates.

I knew my hubby for years and we spoke on the phone every week for 5 months before we went on a date..we slept together on that first date.

I may be a slapper..but it felt right for both of us.
