Have you stopped growing ellen ?
Obviously, depending on your age, your legs might still grow, if not, like me, you have to learn to accept the fact that all good things come in little packages !!!!!!!!!! xx
You could have them surgically broken and calipered, so that the bones can be separated to allow for new bone to grow in the gaps, thereby extending your legs. Sounds gruesome and extreme, but a young lass did just this a few years ago in an attempt to grow tall enough to realise her dream of becoming an air-hostess. If I recall accurately, she had it done on the NHS!
I had one of my legs lengthened in the way Shammy Dodger describes. It was 5 cms shorter than the other and I had to have it done otherwise I would've had back problems later in life. I wouldn't recommend having it done for aesthetic purposes as complications can happen, I ended up having to have a bone graft from my hip due to an infection that I caught from the hospital. It wasn't great.
if you are still growning and there is a reason for your legs being shorter, such as precoccious puberty, they may give you something to keep you growing longer, but if its just vanity they won't. if you have stopped growing, then its the method mentioned above, but the bones become weaker and prone to arthritis etc.
Being a woman I would only see that as a disadvantage when reaching the higher shelves. Nothing wrong with short legs on a woman at all. But when my legs reached the length of an average 12 year old and stopped it took me some years to get used to the fact. It really isn't a big deal for men either but we can get the mickey taken when younger, as does anyone not average in all ways. Just natures wide variations and not an area for judgement.
I have short legs and I am very happy with them ~ ok, I might have problems buying certain trousers but my legs are functional and help me walk quite well..so I like them the way they are :o)
Are you sure they are as short as you think?? My mate always says she has short legs and they look normal to me, but she is short and she says it round me because I am tall with comparatively longer legs. If you bend over put a pole in the crease and measure to your toes and then to your head and see what the difference is. I expect its not as bad as you think.
