lol fee....why??? what youneeding to stay up for? To post on AB into teh wee small hours ;o)
yeah, they work, I used them for the odd all nighter at Uni when I had an assignment deadline that I'd let slide (as ever!). Them and some coffee, and although a bit jittery the next day, they kept me awake quite well.
The only thing they ever did for me was give me really strong heart palpitations. I actually thought I was having a mild heart attack! Never used them again!
when i was at big school and i had some tests done i took a few so that i could stay up and learn my topics. it worked so well that i was awake for a couple of days and then all of a sudden i fell asleep for about 24 hours.
a girlyfried took them at the same time and she didn't get up the duff or nothing. i think that means they are very strong.
To cut a long (and rather dull) story short - i have to get up very early in the morning every day - even at weekends(!) and need to stay up late because of work some evenings.
I could doze in the afternoon if i wanted as i have the opportunity - but sleeping in the day makes me feel sick.
Because of tiredness in the day, i wondered if these little fellas would help me to be more perky in the brain department ONLY as a short-term, or temporary measure (not up late every evening).
Sorry - that was the short and less dull version... believe it or not.
Thanks all for your answers (i think!)... not sure now!
lol fee...that wasn't so dullbabes :o)
to be honest, they worked for me at Uni (many moons ago lol), but my pal got just the same results by eating (yes, I did type eating) a few spoonfuls of nescafe!!! These days if I need to be a bit more awake at night, I brew up a big pot of fresh strong coffee, add my usual 4 sugars per big mug, and that works a treat.
you could give them a try, they'd probably be OK for occasional use, wouldn't want to use them long term.
I'm going to ignore the EATEN Nescafe comment... made me wince... urgh!
I do drink bucket loads of coffee every day - strong and black - simply cos i love the stuff, so perhaps the PP won't have any effect if my system is used to caffeine.
It's just the afternoons - i get SOOOOOOO tired... oh gawd... do you think it's my age...?
ha ha, must be your age Fee!!!!! I asked my hubby about these and he reckons all the lads have them at work because they work long hours. Give em a go and if they don't work, don't bother again. the only thing that bothers me with things like that is if they make you feel worde the day after. I remember taking nightol and felt like crap when i woke up and for the rest of the day.!
Kick have you ever tried eating a spoon of coffee, I can bet that most people wouldnt be able to handle it. There was an advert where they did it as a dare and I thought cant be that bad so me being me tried it I dont recommend it at all. I'm sure my face was gonna turn inside out. :-)
lol, Jules! My uncle gave me an Oxo cube when I was three and told me it was chocolate... probably my dad's idea, as usual! :o)
Hi fee! My dad takes these quite often as he sometimes works 48 hour days, and reckons they're quite effective. Doesn't stop the giant spiders he sees dancing around the workshop around the 38-hour mark though ;o) x
