An airhorn got blown v close to my right ear on Saturday whilst watching football. I can't hear properly through that ear now. It doesn't hurt, but there's just a continuous ringing. Will it sort itself?

Yeah, should be ok by tomorrow or next day. I always come out of gigs not being able to hear properly for a couple of days.

Yes should be ok. Permanent damage can result from sustained exposure to loud noise/loud music. Thats why you always see the singer of a band (Chrsi Martin etc) with musicians ear plugs, otherwise their hearing would degenerate over a peiod of time.

Having said that, one short sharp exposure to a very loud noise can cause instant damage, but with an airhorn you should be ok.

I often come out of nightclubs not being able to hear, sometimes still rings a bit the next day, but I can still hear through it. Can't hear a thing through my right ear now though, and it's 48hrs later.
I've booked an appointment with the doc later this afternoon - I want to see him about something else anyway.

i got the same problem in my right ear (ringing) but mine is work associated...

Try holding your nose and blowing hard UB. It sometimes does the trick.
