Girls what shoes do you wear in this hot weather

I seem to be the only girl in my office still wearing enclosed shoes! A couple of people have asked why I'm not wearing sandlas or flipflops etc well I actually really hate flipflops and anyway I shy away from exposing my bare feet to the world! So I stick with fully enclosed shoes or boots but I suppose in this weather I tend not to wear the boots, does any other girls out there like to stick with the enclosed shoes, back me up there must bbe others!

OMG you are SO right!!!! I hate flipflops for all sorts of reasons but they really are unsexy and I also agree with you a\bout exposed heels, I'm a bit paranoid about my bare heels! and everything about my bare feet to be honest, i'm so glad someone agrees!

Here's what you do! Go get a pedicure so you are a bit more confident about showing your feet. Then get some nice open toed sandals. DMs make nice ones- solid and not too flimsy.

Is there a reason as to why you don't like your heels on show?

I don't wear flip flops often, it depends on the outfit I' m wearing, you can get some really nice slip on shoes that would suit cropped trousers, skirts or dresses if you're not comfortable in flip flops/sandals.

I'm the 1st to admit I'm boring when it comes to clothes, I'm a skirt blouse and black high heels girl! V boring office stuff. Cropped trousers is a bigstep fwd for me!

Oh dear yes my bare heels well... I do try to keep them nice but I do have a tendency to have quite grimy crusty heels, sorry theres' no nice way of saying that!!! And I've gone on about my smelly feet in other threads its anothe rreason I'm reluctant to waer sandals as my feet still smell only they're exposed! Sorry bit I do have every foot problem going and I'm too scared to go get a p[rofessional pedicure I wouldnt want to expose my horrible feet to anyone!

Just done a straw poll of the office. Out of 11 females only one is wearing enclosed shoes (she wore f-flops at the weekend and has got a blister so is wearing her "comfies"). One girl is wearing wedge sandals and the rest are in varying forms of smart flip-flops. All the guys are in shoes and socks!! This is the one advantage women have over men. We have dress down days on a friday but until then they have to wear shoes, shirts and trousers. We girls are in strappy T-shorts, 3/4 length trousers or short skirts and smart flip flops. Soooooo cool.

Flip flops only look sexy if you have sexy feet..and mine aren't at all attractive! my mother in law insists on wearing flip flops in all weathers despite having fungal toenails ~ bleuurrrgh ;o)

I am wearing a comfy pair of Pod sandals today..I just slip them on and am comfy all day. I prefer chunky shoes anyway.

There are lots of treatments you can buy at boots etc, buy a good pumice stone, cracked heel cream (works wonders!) and make sure you clean your feet morning and night.

have you thought of getting some black hessian shoes that cover your toes and heels? might be a different look.

i hate flip flops too, try wearing some summer style pumps. i have some green ones that i wear without socks, they from new look. i love them!

As a rule, we're not supposed to wear open-toed shoes in the office, although we can get away with it so long as we look smart. Most girls here wear closed court shoes. Some days I will wear my flip-flops, but only when I know most people are out of the office.

I'm just the same. I don't own any open toe shoes. Hate my feet and toes. But have you noticed there are loads of people who really don't care. They wear flip flops; sandals; open toe heels and their feet are in a disgusting state!!!

I have to wear those footsies with everything too.

Can't wait to get home from work and soak them in a bowl of nice cold water.

They've got some gorgeous wedges in Dorothy Perkins at the moment with a little bit at the back to cover your heel! Really comfy too ☺ x

try river island for some peep toe court shoes - then you get the best of both world - no heels on show, still very smart for the office, but a little more ventilated than enclosed shoes - also there are some lovely flat pumps about at the minute, that whilst they are enclosed do leave the top of your foot open, and they are really versatile, like lore said

If i;m honest though, i'm completely a flip flop girl - living right by the beach its hard not to be. foot files are my saviour!

sam those aren't really me I don't think, I'm so much of a pumps and heels type person really but thanks for posting it. I'm not even sure about wedges yes I know I'm SO boring when it comes to shoes it's like heels at work, trainers at home and sometimnes its heels at home too! maybe i should try going for the wedsges as you say if it covers my heels

Champagne - where do you work then. In a bank or somewhere the public see you? I think as long as you've got nice(ish) feet - or at least decent nail varnish on bare feet are the thing for this weather. Wearing enclosed shoes in this weather must make bad feet worse - especially fungal feet as in pippa68's m-in-law......
