I have horrible elbows and because the hotter days are coming I'm really paranoid when wearing short sleeved tops. They are just really dark in colour compared to the rest of my arm and are really rough to the touch...any ideas???

where some skin coloured Elbow pads
use petroleum jelly or vaseline on them.
zammo, all jokes aside, nutrogena cream, highly recommended by me
An old fashioned way is to cut a lemon in half, scoop out the insides and sit with your elbows in the two shells.

What it does I have no idea, but we all used to do it.

You could try rubbing your elbows with a pumice stone (or body scrub I suppose) and moisturising them frequently.

But I am very sure nobody will notice your elbows and when you have a tan they will be even less noticable to you.

Don't worry about them.
Try Epaderm - it is really good for softening the skin - for the colour you can rub them with lemon juice every day and this can take away any discolouration. Apparently a paste of washing powder works too - but I wouldn't try if you've got sensitive skin!

Hi Zammo, rest assured that a lot of people have the same problem. Elbows and knees are renowned for being dry spots. Some people do suffer worse than others, but I would suggest you exfoliate your elbows every time you shower/bath and apply body lotion onto them every morning and night. Use Cocoa Butter, Neutrogena or another thick moisturising cream.

And look around at other people's elbows!! You may find that you're not that different to the rest!
