I have my ears pierced and when I was youger, I could wear any type of earing without any troubles. Then I put the butterflys on too tight and my ear grew around them and my dad had to fish them out, now for some reason, I can't wear any earing in my ear without it being totally sore just hours later and full of puss the next day. (nice I know, I am sorry)
Then I had my belly pierced and well no matter what I did, it was always sore and red. It grew out after a while and now I have a funny hole.
I really wanted my tounge pierced at one stage, but I am convinced that's just going to end up yucky too. What do you guys think?
Oh and pure honesty hear, who thought getting their toung pierced was just stupidly painfull?
Oh and I never got any anasthetic, but it truly didn't hurt. At all....I don't know why I didn't get it, I see other folk posting that did get it...But it didn't hurt. IMHO
Maybe you are allergic to the metal the piercer is using (the nickel in cheaper metals). I can only have surgical steel or titanium. I think you should have your tounge done with titanium or PTFE which minimises the chance of rejection which is very rare in tounge piercings however.
I have all my piercings done in surgical steel no probs at all , i'm allergic to nickel and get the itchy sore bits, even from a pair of jeans with the studs in the sides! My ears used to be bad when i wore cheap fasionable earrings, but they have been ok with silver sleepers in them :o)
Your tongue should heal better that ANY other piercing you can get, I had the same thing happen with my belly button piercing, and yet my tongue healed beautifully!
Oh...its not that painful actually...just a kinda scary thought
I had my ears pierced twice - the first time with gold plated - my ears did exactly the same as yours, and the second with solid gold. These actually disintegrated in my ears (I was left with half a gold ball and half a butterfly!!!). I can't wear anthing except solid silver or titanium when it comes to jewellery, watches etc (not even gold!). So I would be really careful with what metals you have incase you get a reaction!!!
Yeah, I have pierced my ears, ever since I was a kid. And I feel really thankful to my parents for having done that when I was a kid, because I know it is something which is really painful, and I believe earings make me look more stylish. So I do believe in body piercings.
