ive just come back from shopping with my brother he has a disabled badge as he has ms and finds it hard to work very far, well we couldnt find a space anywhere,i got out and went looking round, you know what a woman with her two kids went into one ,she had no badge on her car,so i went up to her and said,do you know these spaces are for the disabled, she said yep i know but im not going to be long, well that did it for me,i said my brother has been driving round for 20mins looking for a space and he needs this more than you do,are you going to move the car,she said no you park somewhere else,im not really a nasty person but she was being cheeky infront of her kids so i said if you dont move your car ill move it myself.she just walked away laughing into the shop, i waited 10mins she never came out so i and a passer by who was a very nice man we pushed her car out of the way and we parked there ourselves,my brother went into the shops i waited incase she came back,my bro was back before her,he got in and we drove off, as we were driving away we saw a warden going up to the car,i hope the stupid selfish cow got a ticket, some people are so cruel

People with severe angina, for example, may appear perfectly ok one day but be too ill to walk another day.
And the Lexus is certainly not paid for by benefits of any description.
Some conditions qualify for disabled badges because a person is unable to CARRY a light load, even though they can walk well.
I am thankful for the days I can walk better, and very grateful for my badge on the days each step is agony.

disability doesn't always mean physically disabled in the sense that limbs dont work - it can mean various other things as has been mentioned, such as heart problems and severe asthma.
thats why so many ignorant people will happily take the disabled spaces - because they thinks its all a big con and a swindle because they see orange badge holders get out of their car and easily walk
perhaps they should change the name or type or style of these badges - the ones with a wheelchair on give the wrong idea i think - or are there other types already?
i would think ones to say medical problems rather than disability would be better
i can walk fine for short distances and to anyone watching i look fit and healthy - but every step i take is slowly destroying my spine and hips and whilst i am still able now i don't want to hurry the process

i am a warden and as tomorrow the fines with us is 90 disabled bays are for blue badge only, in a ticket carpark you would not get in without a ticket or out well the blue badge is a permit for those users to us them, people who dont have a badge will get fined and if they took the extra 2 minute to park properly then they would'nt get fines the offences are parking in 2 bays at any time when the warden is around, parking on cross hatches blocking other drivers field of view, parking on footpaths, disabled bays, loading bays, pick up points someone has to be in the vehicle untill it leaves, exceeding the maximim time allowed (2-3 hours) double yellow lines, no parking allow zones.
now that is the basic. People you done you driving test and you had to learn the highway code then obay it or you will get fined. I find that the people who complain are the ones who like getting things their own way all the time. if you drink drive and get away from getting caught you get cocky and then you get caught you get pissed of and your not sorry its the same with carparks, you do it all the time and nothing happened now you get fined well tough it might wise you up the next time. remember an extra 2 minutes of time can save you a fine. and people they are legal.
