Ok, I'm 27 years old and I should know this but I've been out of the single life loop for a while and have today been inspired to get back in to it by certain AB threads ;0)

so....

How do you actually tell if a bloke fancies you? Especially if they're shy!

Cheers
China xx

I wasnt suggesting you go out on the pull, just seeing if there was anywhere else you could meet someone other than at work.

Do you only get propositioned at work? I think not! You must be attractive to get all this attention. Go with the flow, learn how to take a compliment and filter out the deadwood - you dont have to put out if you go out with someone

Dont be shy China, if youre getting all this male attention then take advantage of it - get a few free dinners out!!

No!!! That's a horrid thing to do, it's on a par with being a prick tease or leading a bloke on and I think that's mean! They'd think I really like them to go out with them.... or am I just horribly innocent, reading that back I sound about 16!

I'm not that attractive hun, just average really. I'm just quite chatty.... as long as I don't think you fancy me, or indeed I fancy you. And I have a lot of male friends that's all.

Lol I'm suprised I've got any sexual history at all frankly! I'll figure it out no doubt!

How is it horrid to go out with someone to find out if you get on?
How else will you know?? What else do you suggest?
Question Author
Erm... talking to them as friends? In a big group?
Errrm... OK !?! Talk to them in a big group and then what?!

You big scaredy cat!! Not being funny hun but get away from the safety in numbers thing, surely you can tell if someone likes you - you just need to give them that little nudge to prompt them to ask you out .just the two of you!!
Question Author
Lol... I'll give it a go! Quitting time I think, not that I've done any work today. Home for a cold shower I think and then back tomorrow to see if there's any more useful advice for me... take care all xx
Morning China! How are you today babes? how did you go with the no ciggies after work yesterday? You still off them? keep it up sweetie, you can do it. We'll do our level best to keep you distracted on here. Just wanted to chip in my twopenneth worth. I think Jons right in a lot of what he says.....you won't really get to know someone properly if you only spek to them in a group situation. That's really what I think dates are for, to get a chance to be one on one and really find out if you like that person. People are often different in groups than in one to ones. Go for dinner, to a film with someone, (your nice guy for eg) and see if there really is a spark on both sides, THEN decide if you want to take it further. I don't see how going out to dinner etc then not wanting to see someone again is teasing....unless you've had a bad experience with an r-sole in the past of course. If you feel bad about doing dinner then no more dates, offer to go dutch on dinner (esp if you suggest a meal) and that solves that problem.
Anyway, do let us know how you get in with your bloke....and of course, we'll look forward to seeing some "strange places" added to the mega list PF started yesterday ;o) tc xx

Hiya Kick!

I'm good thanks hun. Except that I have a lodger of the six legged, massive kind in my room at the moment which will need to be charged rent if it won't be evicted as it's taking up too much room!

I do agree with Jon too, just not really that brave to ask to be honest... And I don't want to do the asking.

We are alone together sometimes, we sat and watched a film together the other day after everyone else left talking a bit and stuff and then on the walk back we had a bit of a chat and I gave him my heavy bag which he accepted without complaint (flutters eyelashes) or indeed comment and we do pop over to steal stuff from each other on occasions too. (I was feeling his tatoo last night which was quite good fun!) We're quite close when we're on our own and do single each other out in group situations but I'm just not sure that there's enough there for me to do something... like grab him and throw him over a table which is what I felt like doing last night after Pink's lovely thread! ;0)
Morning babes! lol at your post....you do know that this has got the makings of an "If only...." situation. Weeks/months/years ears from now (or as soon as he gets a gf) you look back and wish you'd been brave enough to make a move. if you don't try, you'll never know, cos you could both be sat there thinking "Och he/she is just a friend, they don't like me any more than that" etc. You sound like you're close to a relationship, just needs one of you to be bold and take the chance. Go on, if you can quit fags, you can do anything!!!! tc sweetie xx
Question Author
But I'm still trying to quit the fags!!!

There's a group of us going out tomorrow so maybe I can engineer something then....

Or next week....
