Hi Pinky, I've only just joined this thread and I'm so glad to hear that you've called the police. I know you have a past with this man but don't let him make you feel intimidated anymore. He's nothing in your life now and you're stronger than him. Remember that. xx
Three cheers for Pinky's bravery:

Hi Pink! Just got in from work so only just seen this thread!
So glad your alright and the police are going to take a statement.
How blooming scary! and I'm glad your Boyfriend saw the seriousness in it all and tried to help you :o) Some men would be like "yeah well I'll be waiting for him etc.." and then do nothing.
Hope your a bit more relaxed now and not as worried.
Take care.

Hi Wingnut - well im a tiny bit worried now that he's going to go even more mental when the police turn up as he only sent abusive texts but they insist that it still qualifies as abuse and to press charges.xx
I have been through similar - my ex threatened to kill my new partner. Also he sent loads of foul abusive texts to me and my sons (his own children). Its horrible, shocking and frightening. In the end we had to report to the police because it just went on and on. These men are just weak bullies who just cant let go of control and cant get into their heads anyone could move on and actually not want them and their stroppy ways any more.

Dont read the texts just delete them or send them on to a friend to keep for you. They can actually photocopy them. thats what the police did in our case and kept them should they be needed for future reference.

Stay positive, dont let this moron pull your strings. xx
When my ex sent foul abusive texts over a period of time we ended up going to the police because it became unbearable. They photocopied the texts to keep on file for evidence shoud they be needed.

These types of men just cant seem to understand that you have moved on and are no longer interested in their foot stamping. My ex also threatened to kill my b/f even though the break up was nothing to do with him and I met him a year later. They are just morons.

Good luck - it will stop eventually. Focus on the future. xx

Have just had ex's mum on the fone.Says he called her this morning, and she said that "he is very very sorry and if he promises not to do it again can he please start having his son again"

Question Author
feel very very bad for my son as he adores his dad,but I have to think whats best in the long run dont I?xx
My ex turned his filth on his sons (who were 12 and 15) he decided they'd lied to him (bulls**t) disowned them and has never seen them since.

They are now 16 and nearly 19 and are doing well - probably better without him screwing up their heads.

I'd never stop them seeing him but they don't want to know at the moment.

Your ex needs to stop behaving like a tw*t and start acting like a parent and put his son first if he's got a decent bone in his body.

But you can't control what he does only how you respond to it. And ne needs to know that you will not be bullied.

Good luck xx
as you say you want the best for his son and him seeing his father act in this manner towards you can't be good for him, your doing the right thing
yeah,if he cant act like a decent father and be civil towards his sons mother then he IS gonna scr3w up your sons head, and you DONT want him to end up like that animal he has as a father!!
And its quite a coincidence he went to his mummy for support after behaving badly. Thats what my ex used to do. Hide behind his mum (who was lovely) and make excuses.

Why cant they take responsibility for their own bad behaviour?
