Skin Allergy?

The skin above my eye near the nose, has become pink and itchy and a bit swollen. Could it be an allergy, and what should I use?

Hi smurfchops, it could be a patch of eczema, due to dry skin...try keeping it lubricated with a sensitive skin or fragrence free cream. You may also need antihistimine tablets -- check with a dermatologist if the cream doesn't help. Good luck. xx

Thanks litchick, I have been using antihistamine tablets but still a little itchy, would vaseline be OK? I have tried cream for itching (!) but just makes it burn a bit - as it is so near my eye the skin is a bit more delicate, so not sure what to use.
