Here's a question for all you males out there.Having a conversation with one of your species yesterday about cheating on partners he reakons 90% of males do.
Being a girlie i think this is a bit high or am i just a bit naive.
thanks for any answers .
Why is the statistic so high? Is it because fidelity is more important in western culture than others? Obviously its something we have to learn, which lends itself to the notion that being faithful isnt a natural state of human thinking.
He's probally talking about himself and his mates.A bit of Boasting methinks.Dont Imagine that all of us males are the same..!! must go..the doorbells going...the misses has just gone to work, and that sort from no 29 wants a massage again...hehe..!!(:-)
not sure if that's right seems a bit high i know loads of guys in relationships who are faithfull, but on the other side i've just been talking to a girlfriend who is having an affair with a married man and just found out he is cheating on her as well!, how on earth does he find the time?
Is that 90% do in every relationship, or 90% have at some point?
I have done shamefully back in my teens about 7 years ago, but I wouldn't now. Guess it also depends on your definition of cheating.
I agree with VINNY, boasting, bravado call it what you will, its just so the 'guy' you are referring to has got an excuse for why he cheats! Looks better for him if he generalises, and anyone listening to him accepts it as normal.
Ingram, I know that it's a statistic and if it's true then God help us all but I'd say who cares what the stats say? Trust the guy you're with and don't worry about the stats otherwise you'd never trust anyone again! It's quite depressing though to see it in black and white but it's all about how much you trust your partner.
I was serially unfaithful to my first wife but that relationship was in deep trouble before we even got married. My present wife is a bit unique in that she doesn't mind if I have sex with another woman as long as it's not a relationship ( just sex, no affection), but to date ( 9 years) I haven't because I love her and don't want to. I gravely doubt I'll ever do so either. I think 90% is a ridiculous statistic plus surely that would be men across the board 18-80 and men go through stages in their lives. What I thought was acceptable in my 20's I'd never dream of doing now, so I think the statistic is totally unreliable.
