My mum and dad split up when i was 7 (im 26 now) , i kept in touch with my dad till i was 13 then he moved to london.
We found out he died when i was 17 and i want to know if he remarried, had anymore kids etc .
Anyone know how i can start going about finding this out?

you could try checking the marriage records

Howdid you find out he had died? Can you find out more about him through that contact?
Question Author
my half brother told me and i know no contacts down there
so how did your half brother find out? Surely he must have contacts or know more about your father
Question Author
i dont talk to the half bro much i think the police contacted him
Have you not got any other relatives on your fatherws side of family? Details of granparents, aunts, uncles?
Question Author
no
no one kept in touch with him
well you probably havnt got much hope then apart from looking up his death certificate (if available) and seeing what info can be traced from that.
Your best bet would have been to go through all links with family members but if you and your dad dont have any connection with them then its not going to be easy

i know his address in london
was he living there when he died?
Do you have details of the funeral directors? Obviously you didnt go to the funeral but did you have the details?
Question Author
yes he was living there. i have no idea of the funeral directors :-(
right.

try www.b4usearch.com

on the right hand side where it says 'find people' put your fathers surname and the town where he lived.

Then its a case of clicking on each result (they are at bottom of the results page) and seeing if anyone has the same surname and address as your dad did.
Question Author
ok cheers - i will try that :-)
you could try putting ads in local papers. you never know who might be reading them
