i take mycrogynon and finished my pack last weekend (sun) but my boyfriend has decided that he can make it up after all (he lives 200 miles away!!) so obviously i dont want to be on my period. I havent come on yet so could i take my next pack of pills now and not have a period do you think??!!

i used to take them,and i always used to start another packet if i was going away and new i was going to come on. theres no probs at all. enjoy your time together and i dont blame you for not wanting to be on x

There isn't a problem if you follow straight on to the next pack but doubt it will work since you have already had a gap of a few days, Think you will probably still come on when you normally do.

I think it only works if you start the pack the next day, hun.

Tradey's advice is wrong! If you start taking another packet now you will not be protected (as you have missed 2 days) and your cycle will be all wrong.

It is ok to start another packet IMMEDIATELY after finishing the other one but not after a two day break!

well i asked advice from my doctor and he told me theres nothing wrong with taking the pill even after you have finished your last packet even if its few days after but if your not carrying on taking them till there finished throw them away dont use again start a new pkt when youve been on ,if your worrying dodgeball ask you doctor i can only tell you what i did and what my doctor told me.oh chazza are you a docor by the way

as far as im aware you have to start taking the packet straight away after you finish your last packet otherwise it wont be effective. It may work in the respect that you wont have a period but you may not be protected against pregnancy hope this helps
