What it is about Firemen?
20 Answers
C'mon ladies. I was reading a thread from earlier today on B&S that basically ended up with someone saying they were a fireman (as they often like to mention it) this resulted in about 200 threads of flirting. I notice that a firefighters role doesnt even make it into the top 10 most dangerous occupations in the UK. Health & Safety is such an issue it prevents them from doing anything 'slightly' dangerous. It can't be the uniform, too similar to a lollipop lady, all that dayglo. What is the appeal?

Unfortunately they are powerless to act as they have heard that someone half a mile down the road has oxycetelyne cylinders in his garage. They set up a 200 metre cordon around my house and it burns to the ground. They all drive back to the fire station to eat bacon butties and watch a porn DVD. One of them farts in the cab of the fire engine. It stinks. They all laugh.
Firemen definitely appeal to me! I think it's the thought that they will risk life and limb to rescue you (never mind the fact that they don't, as you explained), and it's also that illusion of big, strong manly arms ready to scoop you up out of danger and protect you... that's quite enough, I'm in danger of drifting into a fantasy here!
my boyfriend is a fireman (retained). i met him online and it wasnt until we had been in contact for about 2 months before he even mention being a fireman so he certainly didnt use it as a way to attract women.
There are guys at his station that do like to flirt with the women when in uniform at fetes etc but not all the time.
Oh and electricblue you are so right, Norfolk has son of the oldest firefightters ive seen lol
