new denture fit

hi i have just come back from the dentist (mouth still numb)

I've had front 3 teeth out and 3 false ones on a plate thingy

Dentist told me i need keep it in for 24 hours so i moulds to my mouth question is when they and right at front seems to be a gap between palate and denture plate is this right will the gap close up over the next 24 hours

Been there, done that, stevestar. I bet it feels like a lump of rock in your mouth at the moment, but be patient. I seem to remember that they will begin to fit better when the swelling from the extraction goes down.
I have had mine for years and the denture plate seem to sit in the hollow of the roof of my mouth. Takes a bit of getting used to.

thanks for replies its starting fit a little better seems be pivoting just behind where my teeth were i think its still swollen up - just hope swelling goes down tonight so i can talk properly again at work tommorrow :)
