It's really bad manners, not to mention bl00dy boring! People have taken the time and trouble to write a post. The least they can expect is reasoned replies which attempts to stick to the original point. Instead folks use these posts to carry on their personal attacks to each other.

Get over yourselves, move on and sodding grow up!

I'm not saying you should defend yourself, infact I would if it was me too! I guess I'm laying the blame mostly on Wardy (though i've nothing against him either) he does seem to follow you and start this thing 1st each time.

Not sure what to suggest whiffey? perhaps logging all the posts where he accuses you and forwarding them to the powers that be may be a start?

You're spot on Boo. I feel it for Whiffey too. A lot of those posts really smart. They would bring tears to a glass eye. I'm not taking sides as such because I don't know Whiffey OR WM but I have to agree with you that without prrof , I will fight in Whiffey's corner as well. It's pretty heavy tio be accused of something like that and without proof , I will continue to treat Whiffey exactly as I have done before. A laugh's a laugh but this is a bit much and it makes for very unpleasant reading.

Enigma I re-read my posts so many times and then I still spot a typo!
Whiffey I have just had a thought! Listen carefully because I don't get them often!! Have you thought about not responding at all to Ward Minter? The reasoning behind this is because you rise to the bait extremely well in your responses and provide an interesting challenge for him to beat! If it was me, Ward Minter would beat me everytime in his responses and soon grow bored of me! Or is my 'interesting' thought been already tried and discarded long ago!

I don't mind bait, and fishing, and a good laugh, but this goes beyond it.

I agree with you Boo. I'm trying not to take sides because I don't know either of them really but laugh at a lot of both of their posts but when it degenerates into a barrage of abuse and the content is nauseatingly abusive , then it really makes me squirm. I don't think that anyone deserves to be spoken to like that and I feel it for poor Whiffey becasue he/she really gets such a raw deal and yet has the dignity to rise above it so admirably. It's easy to say that it is only an internet site and barbed comments don't sting when they are from people you don't know but if I was being accused of what Whiffey is , then I would be absolutely gutted. I let all the rubbish wash over me but thankfully I have never been on the end of such vituperative posts. I'm not sure how I would handle that. It's easy to say to ignore it but if you are on the receiving end of it all the time , it must get very upsetting I would imagine.

I know what you mean Sue. It's usually when I hit submit that I notice. I can't seem to type anything without a mistake tonight !
