I have gone through a three month cycle of taking accutane, and it worked beautifully for a little over a year, but now it has been about 2 years and my acne is beginning to come back. I have a month supply of the stuff left and am considering taking that one month by itself (it is a huge process to go through the Doc and get it) I am wondering if anyone knows if it would do any good to take just one month. Please dont suggest talking it over with my doctor, i'm mainly just looking for personal experience or medical knowledge. Thanks :)

I have been lucky enough not to have suffered from acne. I did, however, have excess facial hair and used laser hair removal for that. I am female! I was initially given Dianette which also clears acne if you have PCOS (hope you are a girl).

You may well have looked at these sites. I have to admit that the laser hair removal is expensive and hurts like hell. But being a girl with a beard and moustache isn't much fun either.

Best wishes in clearing your skin up.

I also took accutane for nearly a year. I was given to understand that it is a long term treatment that has to be taken over many months for it to be effective. Therefore your one months supply may not be enough. It cleared my skin for about 2 years as well, as soon as it started to come bak the Dr put me back on anitbiotics which only work while taking.

Id go back to your docs and go through the process.
