I'm going away in eleven days - it's a beach holiday... I have started walking 4 miles a day, and doing situps in the evenings. I'm drinking a lot of water and eating loads of fruit. Any other quick tips? The thought of wearing shorts and bikinis is so so scary! XX

Go to a naturist beach and you wont have to wear either ,and people on these beaches wont even notice the few extra pounds or the fact that you aren't as tanned as some people.
is that from experience ratter ?

Anyone have an "real" advice?
I think you have made an excellent start, but how about toning up your arms too if you need it?

sit on your bum on the floor with your back to a sofa, put your hands on the edge of the seat and raise and lower yourself.

Apart from that, cut out high fat foods (but not all - you need a treat or you'll give up) and fast foods, but that's probably very obvious!
you seem to be doing all the correct things....

Dont forget to dry body brush everyday and get some of that light fake tan stuff (like johnsons/dove)

Im sure your look great! ;)

so far these tips have been great...

my legs are flabby - any other tips on burning fat and toning legs?
Question Author
what will dry body brushing do?
You cannot achieve much in eleven days, should have started eleven months ago.
Walking is excellent for toning legs - but swimming is the best all over body exerciser you can do!

or what about joining a gym and hitting the cross trainer?
You know what else I do and it works a treat :

Whack a face mask on those thighs!
I got some great stuff from body shop, thing its self heating mud.
So I slap it on my thighs and bottom and rinse it off in the shower, finishing off with a cold blast, some nice thick moisturiser and it honestly works, maybe short term but hey ho

As they say....every little helps!!!!

dry brushing will not only help the circulation (the lymphatic stimulation! - ark at me!!) but remove any dead skin cells making the skin appear firmer, cleaner and nicer!

dont over brush/brush too hard.

Always remember to brush in the direction of your heart.

I will buy a body brush asap!

Will it ruin fake tan?
it shouldnt as the one I use is like a moisteriser/tan so its like a tint rather than a 'tan'

where u off on hol to?

Off to Cyprus - hot hot hot!!

Just wish I was a bit firmer!!

How many sit ups a day shall I do?
I do sit ups first thing in the morning cos someone said that that burns fat as you have had nothing to eat all night. They said if you do them any other time you are burning the energy you consumed that day through food and not fat.

dont know if its true but it seems to work for me! x

Wow Cyprus, gonna be a scorcer!!
drinking water is really important. when i was at weight watchers we had home work to drink 6 pints a day for a week. at weigh in day everyones weight loss had doubled or trippled.
(6 pints sonds scary, but its only half a pint each hour which isn't so bad & as you will be drinking water in place of tea/coffee/cola it will be even more effective)
just hope you dont mind pee-ing al fresco as i doubt you will pass many toilets on your 4 mile walk!
