Whats the quickest way I can lose weight around my waist and tummy? i eat well but don't do any excercise, admittedly through laziness as I'm so tired after work. I've just bought a trampette, but think it may just go towards toning my lower half and perhaps losing weight as I bounce off the calories. Do you know how many sit-ups a day I would need to do before I can notice a difference. I don't eat junk food, ie, biscuits, cakes or chocolate (I haven't got a sweet tooth) Its the only part of my body that i'm really paranoid about and I can only wear certain things, although I'm only about 9.5st and 5'8". Please help if you can. Many many thanks! Jeanette X

I find swimming (especially front crawl) really tones up the sides of my tummy, but not the front. other than that i would advise big tummy-squashing pants!!
Sorry jeanette but I fear there's nothing you can really do in the space of a week. If you're going to look at your exercise regime, think of it as a long term thing rather than as a quick fix for a date next week. And anyway, if your date is put off by a bit of tummy then, frankly, sod them. It doesn't sound from your height and weight like you can be particularly overweight or have a major gut. You can always work casually into the conversation that you're on a new exercise regime, if you're worried, but it might sound a bit of a forced thing to say on a date.
WM warned someone on another thread about doing situps, app they're not good for you

Thank you so much... I've started doing leg lifts in bed but thought that sit-ups were loads better... I have excellent posture from 15 years of ballet, but sadly gave that up as I lost interest.

I've even stopped drinking Guinness because of the weight I put on... but I still have good posture.

Thanks for the excellent site, I'm saving it and going to print it out if I can... XXXXXXXX
and hope your date goes well xx
Hey, dont worry, most of us prefer our women rounded. Is the guy youre dating super fit? Unless he's a fitness freak he'll probably like you the way you are - natural
Well I suppose thats a start "exercising in bed" I am sure that will help a lot! Get real.
