How do you know which one to go on? Is there not loads to chose from? And what are the downsides to taking it?

Hey Zammo,
Your doctor will decide which one you should go on. Just make an appointment and they will ask some questions regarding your health (can't remember what q's as I did this six years ago!!) and from that they will prescribe you the right one. There are lots out there and people have many reactions so you may have to try more than one if they do not mix well with your body. Or you could be fine like me!! I've been on the same one for six years. Only reaction I got was bigger boobs which was fine by me!! Good luck!!

You don't just go out an pick one, you go see your doctor about it, and he/she will know what's best...

He/she will also inform you about any risks...

some have unusual symptoms for some people but not others

for me - mercilon made my face bloat up, microgynon made me agressive, marvelon was ok, dianette made me agitated but lose weight, cilest made me bloat

so just be aware of changes and if you don't like them, go bakc and ask to try another brand
