Hi guys, moment of (slightly alcohol induced) mini wobble last night on my way home from a work night out.

Basically, I am surrounded by friends and colleagues either getting married or already married, and I feel like the last single person on earth! One of my close friends (who lives in Barcelona, so I don't see that much) was over for business and we went out for dinner last night - but he spent most of the evening on the phone (mine at times!) talking to his live in girlfriend back home. Now, I'm thrilled he is so happy, but for goodness sake, your're out with friends, so focus on who you're with! Then, most unusually, he left early to go to bed -whereas normally he's my partner in crime for late night drinking and talks!

Normally I enjoy my single life, but last night I did get a little upset about it - anyone else have those moments, or am the only silly one out here????

lol teag1rl - definitely feeling cheerier.

And I do believe in the 'it'll happen when you least expect it' and reckon i'll do the instant, head over heals in love thing again at some point in my (hopefully) not too distant future!
But crete you may say that but to me I've always seen myself going out with someone for at least 2 years before we move in together then another 2 before we even think about kids, so in my head I'm 32 already and thats if I go out and find a bloke tonight. Whats in the bottle?
You probably will daisy :-) I've been single 8 years now, god how time flys :-)
this shelf is gonna get crowded soon, budge up guys

Daisy the two girls i still with at work are both getting married next year, its all i hear constantly and it does my swede in, and do i take a bloke mate or girlfirend as my +1 arghhhhhh still can't decide

still i love being single and don't wanna change it anytime soon xx
Cool always room for a bit of fluff on the shelf :-)
its Friday night what would you rather be doing tonight ?picking up the children from school going to the supermarket cleaning the house and cooking dinner for your partner who has been working sooooo hard this week cant go out because you have no money and no baby sitter and the partner is on the couch sleeping. or going out to the pub with your friends , or staying in and pampering yourself. ?
i'll stay in and pamper myself then go out and party my socks off till dawn

I think I'll be doing the supiermarket thing tonight myself crete. Haven't had a weekend at home for 2 and a half months as too busy out socialising! Its about time I got some food in the house too - and slept!
Just logged in - can I join you guys on the shelf? 30, been single for ever and getting so sick of going out with 3, 4 ,5 sometimes 6 couples - I end up sitting there twiddling my thumbs wondering what the **** is going on. They're all having kids now too so don't go out anymore - my social life has gone down the pan!

I'm pretty much resigned to being a mad old spinster with lots of cats - already have one so I'm on my way!!
Course you can anna, budge up everyone
Thanks 4getmenot

(singing) There were 10 in the bed, and the little one said 'roll over, roll over'; so they all rolled over and the one fell out 'roll over, roll over'

all together now: ' there were 9 in the bed and the little one said 'roll over, roll over'.......

replace bed for shelf and we can amuse our single selves for hours!
yeah Daisy-but it would be more fun with men in that bed/shelf too!
Well I solved the 'plus one' debate for my friends wedding last October by taking the mutual girl-friend who was the catalyst for our friendship.....then when I introduced her to my friends new wife after the service I remembered that I had told her the story of how we ended up being friends.the girl-friend I had taken as my guest had made him sit with us in our A-level maths call because she fancied him! ooops!!!
